lyrics
In his house at R'lyeh, dead Cthulhu lies dreaming.
Yes! Yes! Cthulhu dreams!
Cthulhu dreams in R'lyeh
The ancients no longer trapped in incubus.
Awakening from a seemingly endless slumber
We have ushered in a golden age
Relinquish your minds
Filtering down from cosmic infinity
Non-Euclidean structures rising from the sea
Hideous, Monolithic Tombs Harboring intellect far beyond our comprehension
The sunken city breathes
They speak in our dreams
We have returned to extinguish all traces of humanity's existence
Behold, the desecration of man
I am the beginning and I am the end
I am the creator and I am the destroyer
I am the Sculptor and the beholder
I am the everlasting god trapped in sleep
I am incomprehensible and of deceit

Symphonic stuff in metal doesn’t make its way into my collection aside from a couple of early Cradle albums. The orch here though just ads to how huge this band sounds. It makes elements in the songs more immersive. There are plenty of breaks from orchestration where its in deathcore/slamming brutality mode. While not ignorant, the songs never play with time or get mathy making it accessible and memorable. Came out 2015? Impressed. Mitch Mitcherson

Two impressive vocalists, variable and skilled guitarists and a tight and very powerful rhythm section. That plus the ability to write a song really leaves nothing left to desire here. mourner
